In a dedicated publication honoring those who have contributed to Turkish medicine, it's important to acknowledge not only the well-known but also those deserving of remembrance yet not widely recognized. Dr. Yavuz Erkoçak stands as an exemplar in Turkish medicine, elevating it to a reputable status through steadfast dedication, unwavering commitment to excellence, resilience against consumerist influences, and a heart brimming with love for the nation and its people. We extend our regards on behalf of numerous wise and insightful physicians who, like Dr. Erkoçak, go beyond the ordinary, refusing to settle for the status quo.

Öz
Türk tıbbına hizmet etmiş saygıyla anılmayı hak edenlere ayrılmış bir yayında, anılmayı fazlasıyla hak eden ama ünlü olamayanların da hatırlanması gerektiğini düşünüyoruz. Dr Yavuz Erkoçak’ı Türk tıbbını sırtlayarak saygın bir konuma taşıyan, işini en iyi şekilde yapmaya çalışan, tüketim toplumu değerlerine yenik düşmemiş, yüreği ülke ve insan sevgisiyle dolu, ‘vida sıkmakla yetinmeyen’ bilge/ârif yüzlerce hekimin adına selamlıyoruz.
