Sonuç: Hemşirelerin COVID-19’a ilişkin kanıta dayalı uygulamalar konusunda bilgi düzeylerinin orta düzeyde olduğu belirlendi.

Objective: This research was carried out to determine the knowledge level of nurses working in a pandemic hospital in Sakarya about evidence-based practices determined by the World Health Organization.
Methods: The study was carried out with 127 nurses working in a pandemic hospital in Sakarya. Data were collected between June and August 2021 after ethics committee approval was obtained. The data collection tool included six questions containing introductory information and 25 statements to measure the level of knowledge about evidence-based practices related to COVID-19. The statements were created based on the information on the use of masks and the clinical management of COVID-19 in the guidelines of the World Health Organization. Descriptive statistics and nonparametric tests were used to evaluate the data.
Results: The mean age of the nurses participating in the study was 29.73±7.38 (min:21-max:49), and the mean total score they got from the questionnaire was 11.86 ± 3.61 (min:0-maks:19). Accordingly, their knowledge level was evaluated as moderate. There was no significant relationship between age and working year and the median total score of the questionnaire. A significant difference was found between the educational status, the unit worked, the education state related to COVID-19, and the median total score of the questionnaire.
Conclusion: It was determined that the level of knowledge of the nurses about evidence-based practices related to COVID-19 was moderate.
