It is called ijtihâd to be able to deduce judgments from evidences, and the person who can do this is called mujtahid. A scholar/faqih who has the ability to make ijtihâd /ijtihâd in all matters related to judgment is called absolute mujtahid, and a person who can do ijtihâd on certain issues is called mujajezzi/mukayyed/partial mujtahid. In this study, the sciences that Jafari scholars deem necessary for the absolute mujtahid are discussed. Some of these conditions are considered essential and some complementary. Mandatory ones; Arabic, Logic, Kalam, Book/Tafsir, Hadith/Sunnah, Rical, Usûlü'l-Fiqh, Furû Fiqh, Icma knowledge and having an Ijtihâd Angel are mentioned. As a complementary; Astronomy, Medicine, Geometry and Mathematics count. Javanese scholars disagree about some of these sciences that are deemed necessary. These differences have been tried to be revealed throughout the study. The views of Sunni scholars on these conditions are also briefly mentioned for comparative purposes. In our article, it will be understood that the conditions that Sunni scholars consider necessary for mujtahid are generally required by Jafari scholars, and that the difference in this regard is minor.
