The development of communication technologies necessitated the digital transformation of international politics. These developments have also shown their effect in diplomacy and states have started to use social media in their diplomacy practices. State officials, politicians, official accounts of state bodies attempt to continue their public diplomacy activities on social media platforms by giving the messages they want to the target audience. In order for this effort to be successful, it is important to determine digital diplomacy strategies and policies. In order to contribute to these policies, the interaction rates were compared by examining Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu's account and Official English account of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Twitter, which is the most effective social media platform used in the field of digital diplomacy. The aim of the study is to present an example of comparing the effectiveness of the official account of a state body with the personal account of the most authorized officials representing this body in terms of digital public diplomacy. For this purpose, firstly, the general profiles of these two accounts were studied by using the twitonomy web-based program. Then, the interaction rates were compared with the content analysis method by shooting the same number of tweets in English on the same topics from both accounts. It has been revealed that Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has a more active profile and receives more interaction than the official English account of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. However, although Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu's account has more interaction in total, it has been seen that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs account has a high potential when the interaction rates are compared to the number of followers.
