Öz

Amaç:
İşe
bağlı kas iskelet sistemi hastalıkları çalışanlarda en sık görülen sağlık
problemlerinden biridir.

Sekreterlerde
işe bağlı oluşabilecek üst ekstremite yakınmalarını önlemek için çalışanların
etkili ve yeterli mola süresi kullanmaları sağlanmalı ve çalışma ortamları
ergonomik açıdan düzeltilmelidir.

Objective:
Work-related musculoskeletal disorders are one of the most common health problems
in employees. In this study, we aimed to determine the complaints of the upper
extremity musculoskeletal system and the factors causing these complaints of
the automation secretaries working in our hospital.

Material and Method: In our study, it was aimed to reach all the secretaries working in our hospital The personal characteristics of the employee, the work and the working environment were questioned by a form compiled from the literature. An expanded version of the Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire was used to determine the frequency of upper extremity complaints.

Results: 143 secretaries (94.0%) were interviewed. 25,2% of participants (36) were excluded from the analysis because they had a known musculoskeletal system disorder (n = 107). It was determined that 67,6% of the participants had complaints in the neck area, 47,7% in the shoulder area and 32,1% in the hand-wrist area in the last 12 months. Logistic regression analysis showed that working on the computer without a break for 4 hours or more and working on a chair with non-adjustable height was a risk factor for shoulder area complaints, working intensively was a risk factor for hand-wrist area complaints and working longer in the profession was a risk factor for upper extremity complaints.

Conclusion: In order to prevent complaints of upper extremity which may be caused by work in secretaries, employees should use effective and sufficient time of break and work environments should be ergonomically reorganized.
