Economical improvement, structural and social problems and technological reforms are among the factors that force the world to change. This research has been performed to analyze how the changes in the world affect the changes in the educational institutions and how these changes are perceived by teachers. In the research, the concepts such as change, and change management have been discussed in a theoretical perspective. Two hundred and eighteen teachers working in the eight Primary School in Kadıköy, İstanbul in 2007-2008 education year were randomly chosen among the teachers of state primary schools as the research participants. There were 2183 teachers working in 75 state primary schools in Kadıköy in İstanbul during the research study. A questionnaire, developed by the researcher and consisted of three parts, was used as data collection tool. In the statistical analysis of data collected via questionnaires; t test, one sided variation analysis and Scheffe test have been used. Data displayed that teachers did not prefer to participate the change process, even if they have the right to say their ideas at the beginning and end of it. Primary school teachers' attitudes towards change management of school administrator's were positive. In primary schools, teachers have been suspicious about the negative sides of the change.
