People have felt the need to put on clothes from the oldest eras on. This need is shaped in time due to facts as the society that the person lives in, the geography that they live in and belief systems even if the basic reason was the protection from outer environment at first. As the societies evolved, clothes changed and improved. More colorful and ornate clothes replaced simple clothes in time, weaving found its place as a handcraft in society. In Hittite land, people specialized in weaving existed like in other lands. And in Hittite cuneiform documents, a number of clothing items are encountered. One of the weaving item in Hittite cuneiform documents is TÚGkureššar. TÚGkureššar is a piece of woman clothing, which is clearly put forward in Hittite cuneiform documents.TÚGkureššar is encountered in a lot of different Hittite documents.
