YENİ ASUR İMPARATORLUĞU’NDA TAHT MÜCADELELERİ VE DARBELER

Öz

Kesin şekilde belirlenmiş bir veraset sisteminin olmaması, başta prensler olmak üzere kraliyet üyelerinin taht üzerinde mücadeleye tutuşmasına yol açmıştır. Kralın bütün gücü kendilerinde toplamayı başaramayıp güçlü bir yönetişim tesis edememesi karşısında, bazı kraliyet üyeleri saray içerisinden destekçilerinin de yardımıyla tahtı ele geçirmenin planlarını yapmışlardır. Bu kişiler kendilerine yeterli derecede bir destek buldukları anda da isyan başlatıp, krala darbe yapmaya çalışmışlardır. Bu çalışmada Yeni Asur İmparatorluğu Dönemi’nde gerçekleş taht isyanları ve darbeler ele alınacaktır. Bütün bu tecrübelerin Asur veraset sistemindeki yansımaları ve alınan önlemler belgeler ışığında sunulacaktır. Bu çalışmanın konusunu Aššur-da’’in-apla isyanı, Kalhu İsyanı, II. Sargon’un Tahta Geçişi, Urdu-Mulissu İsyanı ve Šamaš-šuma-ukīn isyanı oluşturmaktadır.
