This study aims to examine the predictive effect of problematic technology use of children aged 4-6 and mothers' parenting stress levels on children's attention levels. The research is a study in the relational survey model. In the 2023-2024 academic year, 260 children aged 4-6 studying in independent kindergartens affiliated with the Ministry of National Education in Aydın province and their mothers constituted the study group of the research. Parental Stress Scale, Self-Regulation Skills Scale for 4-6 Year Old Children (Mother Form), Problematic Technology Use Scale for Young Children were used as the data collection tools in the study, and demographic information of the participants was collected. In the analysis of the data, multiple linear regression analysis technique was applied using the Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient Method using the SPSS 22.00 statistical software. In the research findings, it was determined that there was a statistically significant negative relationship between the sub-dimensions of children's problematic technology use (continuity of use, resistance to control, impact on development, deprivation-escape) and their mothers' parenting stress levels, and children's attention skills. As a result of regression analyses, it was determined that the sub-dimensions of children's problematic technology use and mothers' parenting stress levels together predicted the variability of children's attention skills by 42%.

Bu çalışma, 4-6 yaş aralığındaki çocukların problemli teknoloji kullanımının ve annelerin ebeveynlik stres düzeylerinin çocukların dikkat düzeylerine yordayıcı etkisini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırma, ilişkisel tarama modelinde bir çalışmadır. 2023-2024 eğitim-öğretim yılında Aydın ili Millî Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı bağımsız anaokullarında öğrenim görmekte olan 4-6 yaş aralığındaki 260 çocuk ve anneleri araştırmanın çalışma grubunu oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak, Anne-Baba Stres Ölçeği, 4-6 Yaş Çocuklar için Öz Düzenleme Becerileri Ölçeği (Anne Formu), Küçük Çocuklar için Problemli Teknoloji Kullanım Ölçeği kullanılmış ve katılımcılara ait demografik bilgiler toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS 22.00 istatistik programı kullanılarak Pearson Momentler Çarpımı Korelasyon Katsayısı Yöntemi ile çoklu doğrusal regresyon analizi tekniği uygulanmıştır. Araştırma bulgularında, çocukların problemli teknoloji kullanımının alt boyutları (kullanım sürekliliği, kontrole karşı direnç, gelişime etkisi, yoksunluk-kaçış) ve annelerinin ebeveynlik stres düzeyleri ile çocukların dikkat becerileri arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde negatif yönlü ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir. Regresyon analizleri neticesinde, çocukların problemli teknoloji kullanımının alt boyutları ile annelerin ebeveynlik stres düzeylerinin birlikte çocukların dikkat becerileri değişkenliğini %42 oranında yordadığı tespit edilmiştir.
