Tribolium castaneum (Herbst) is a common pest around the world, but it is a pest of stored products, especially wheat-derived products. In this study, it was aimed to try to reduce the use of chemicals applied against warehouse pests and their negative effects on the environment, and to investigate the use of vegetable oils, which are increasingly produced in our country and in the world, against pests. For this purpose, the effects of Thyme oil (Origanum minutiflorum), Lavender oil (Lavandula hybrida), Juniper seed oil (Juniperus excelsa) and Cedarwood oil (Cedrus atlantica) on T. castaneum were tried to be determined. For this purpose, diluted vegetable oils were adsorbed in cotton and left in a petri dish and T. castaneum individuals were transferred into it. Living and dead individuals were counted 1, 3, 5 and 7 days after the application and the percent mortality rates were determined. This study was carried out in climate cabinets of Isparta University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Plant Protection, with a temperature of 25±1 °C, a relative humidity of 60±5%, 16:8 lighting conditions. As a result of the study, it was observed that the highest dose of fats and the death rates at the end of the 7th day were 100%, 100%, 76% and 84%, respectively. When the results of the study were evaluated, it was determined that the fumigant effect of the applied thyme oil was higher than the others.
