AMORİUM KAZILARINDA BULUNAN BİZANS METAL YAZI ARAÇ VE GEREÇLERİ

Öz

Bu makalenin konusunu Amorium kazılarında bulunan stilus ve kitap halkaları oluşturmaktadır. 1989-2019 yılları arasında gerçekleştirilen kazılarda 13 adet stilus ve 2 kitap halkası ele geçmiştir. Stilusların 3’ü bronz ve diğer 10’u demir malzemedendir. Kitap halkalarının 2’si de bronzdur. Arkeolojik kazılarda bulunan çok sayıda yazı araç ve gereçleri özellikle stiluslar korozyon nedeniyle, kitap donanım/bağlantı parçaları da tasarım açısında elbise aksesuarlarına benzetildiği için fark edilememekte olması böyle çalışmayı zorunlu kılmıştır. Makalenin konusunu oluşturan stilus ve kitap halkaları yoğun olarak Amorium Aşağı Şehir Kilisesi olmak üzere kentin farklı yerleşim alanlarında ele geçmiştir. Ortaçağ’da Phrygia bölgesini kapsayan coğrafyada yer alan Amorium’da bulunan yazı araç ve gereçlerinin varlığı Orta Bizans döneminde Amorium özelinde Anadolu’da okur yazarlığı kanıtlayan parçalar olması açısından dikkat çekicidir.
