The Damage Status of Alfalfa Weevil Hypera variabilis (Herbst, 1795) (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) in the Alfalfa Areas of Diyarbakır, Şanlıurfa, Mardin Provinces and Parasitoid Bathyplectes curculionis (Thomson, 1887) and Parazitization

Year 2018, Volume: 5 Issue: 1, 86 - 89, 19.01.2018

Abstract

The study was carried out in 2006 and 2007 in order to determine damage
status and parasitoids of harmful Hypera
varialis
(Herbest, 1975) in alfalfa areas of Diyarbakır, Şanlıurfa and
Mardin provinces. It has been observed that alfalfa weevil has caused
considerable damage in the alfalfa areas and this damage has increased
especially in the period up to the first sowing. At the end of the study,
Bathyplectes curculionis (Thomson) were determined as parasitoid species on the
pest. At the end of the study, a total of 2,289 alfalfa weevil were cultured
and 66 parasitoids were obtained. In all of the areas where the study was done,
B. curculionis speies spread. The parasitization rate of B. curculionis on the alfalfa weevil ranged from 0.55% to 22.22%.
At the locations where the study was done; the highest rate of parasitization
was determined as 22.2% on 12.04.2007 in the district of Kızıltepe, Mardin. The
results of the study are also important in the management against alfalfa pests
in terms of biological control.

Diyarbakır, Şanlıurfa ve Mardin İlleri Yonca Alanlarında Zararlı Yonca Hortumlu Böceği Hypera variabilis (Herbst, 1795) (Coleoptera: Curculionidae)’nin Zarar Durumu ve Larva Parazitoiti Bathyplectes curculionis (Thomson, 1887) ve Parazitlenme Oranları

Year 2018, Volume: 5 Issue: 1, 86 - 89, 19.01.2018

Abstract

Çalışma
Diyarbakır, Şanlıurfa ve Mardin İlleri yonca alanlarında zararlı, Hypera varialis (Herbest, 1975)’in Zarar
B. curculionis’in yonca hortumlu
böceğini üzerinde parazitleme oranı %0.55 ile %22.22 arasında değişim
göstermiştir. Çalışmanın yapıldığı lokasyonlarda; en yüksek parazitlenme oranı
Mardin ili Kızıltepe ilçesinde 12.04.2007 tarihinde %22.2 olarak
belirlenmiştir. Çalışmanın sonuçları; yonca zararlıları ile mücadele de
biyolojik mücadele açısından önem taşımaktadır.
