Different from the proletariat, the precariat is a new class experiment put forth by the new capitalism. Either white-collar or blue-collar classes can be counted in the precariat. Despite the risk of death, being obliged to work even during the pandemic is just one of the characteristics of the precariat. There have been many diseases that are considered pandemics in the history of the world. In the age we live in, what our share of epidemics is the disease called Covid-19. Some of the workers are able to work in their homes on the days when curfews were imposed in consequence of the present conditions. Some professions are in disadvantageous positions. Market employees can be counted in this disadvantaged group. For, apart from the effects of big countries, meeting the food needs, which is the most essential among the social lives of today's individuals who are homo economicus, with both physical and social characteristics, has been the most important issue that occupies the mind in daily life during the pandemic process. For this reason, the markets remained open even on the days of the curfew during the pandemic process, and the employees had to work despite the high risk of becoming Covid-19 patients. This study has emerged with the problem of studying the experiences of the disadvantaged market employees who do not have the opportunity to work from home during the pandemic process. In this sense, it aims to make a situation analysis. The study was designed for those working in the A101, BİM, and ŞOK discount stores, which are the types of markets called "discount store" in the literature, which are most preferred by the public. The study is a qualitative study conducted in the city of Denizli through a structured interview form.
