Clınıcal and Radıologıcal Evaluatıon of Talon Tubercules

Yıl 2022, Cilt: 3 Sayı: 1, 20 - 25, 29.08.2022

Öz

The word talon was given because these tubercules resemble claws; It has been widely used for this anomaly since 1970.These tubercules are a claw-shaped dental anomaly observed on the palatal/lingual surfaces of the maxillary and mandibular incisors, at the cementoenamel junction or in the cingulum regions. Its etiology is still not fully known. Although its incidence varies from society to society, it is a very rare anomaly. These tubercules, which can be diagnosed clinically and radiologically, can be observed together with some dental anomalies such as mesiodens, dens invaginatus, macrodontia and dens evaginatus.Information will be given about the clinical and radiological features of talon tubercles and accompanying dental anomalies in patients who applied to our faculty for various reasons.
