Disabled people, a group that is often ignored, are restricted due to lack of accessibility standards, and cannot reach what they want to achieve and cannot participate in many activities they want to do. Lack of accessibility brings along various problems. Accessibility of all areas from urban scale to the building scale facilitates social participation of individuals with disabilities. People with disabilities have rights just like those who are not disabled. Benefiting from open green spaces, which is one of the public outdoor spaces, is also considered among these rights. With the increasing widespread use of barrier-free parks in our country, children and individuals with disabilities are partially offered to play, rest and have fun. In this context, the study compares the barrier-free parks in Eskişehir and Diyarbakır, and evaluates their suitability in terms of accessibility. Barrier-free parks should be qualified to serve different disability groups and should be designed to allow disabled children to play with other children. There is a need for sufficiently large barrier-free parks, taking into account the number and population of disabled people. The principle of "design for all" should be extended to all areas, especially open and green areas. Thus, the quality of life of disabled individuals will be improved by ensuring the accessibility of barrier-free parks.
