The study is conducted to examine the relationship between academics' health and health information seeking behaviors (cyberchondria) and health anxiety. The participants of the study consisted of 289 lecturers whose ages ranged from 23 to 66 (Meanage = 37.34, SDage = 8.403). The research data are collected by using a questionnaire containing Cyberchondria Severity Scale Short Form (CSS-15), the Health Anxiety Scale and demographic information. Since the dimensions of the scales conform to normal distribution, when comparing the dimensions according to various variables, independent t test is used in paired groups and ANOVA is used in groups with three or more variables. The relationship between academicians' cyberchondria levels and health anxiety is revealed by correlation analysis. As a result of the study, a positive significant relationship is found between the body dimension of health anxiety and the dimensions of compulsion, excessive anxiety, excessive, and relaxation in the CSS. It is demonstrated that there is a positive and significant relationship between the negative outcome dimension of health anxiety and the CSS dimensions of compulsion, excessive anxiety, and distrust of the doctor.
