The purpose of the study is to analyze the financial performances of hospital businesses in Turkey. To that end, it is made use of the sectoral financial statements published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) under the sector code Q-86-Human Health Services and the sub-sector code Q-861-Hospital Services. The financial tables of the Hospital Services Sector between 2009 and 2019 are evaluated using the DuPont analysis technique, the Financial Strength Index, and the Hospital Financial Viability Index. Employing three distinct methods to measure the financial performance of hospitals, it is found in the study that hospitals have low profitability, high liabilities, low short-term solvency, high costs, and expenditures. In addition, it is determined that the financial performance of hospitals fluctuates. In line with the findings of the study, it would be beneficial for hospitals to take measures to increase their profitability, reduce the use of foreign resources, improve short-term debt solvency, and reduce costs and expenses. In future research, it is recommended to use different financial analysis techniques for financial performance measurement and evaluate the relationship between these techniques.
