Ethics Committee Approval

For any research that requires data collection from participants using surveys, interviews, focus groups, observations, experiments, or interview techniques conducted through qualitative or quantitative approaches, it is mandatory to obtain ethical committee approval in accordance with the "Use of Humans and Animals (including materials/data) for Experimental or Other Scientific Purposes" and the "Personal Data Protection Law." In this context, ethical committee approval must be obtained from the relevant units for studies requiring ethical committee approval.

  • In studies requiring ethical committee approval, the methodology section of the article should specify from which institution the approval was obtained, and the date and decision number of the relevant approval must be included.
  • If a measurement tool developed by different scientists has been used in the research, information regarding the permission for the use of the measurement tools should be included in the methodology section.

Note: Ethical committee approval is not mandatory for studies where research data were collected before 2020.

For studies that do not require ethical committee approval, the "Declaration Form Regarding the Non-Requirement of Ethical Committee Approval" should be filled out, signed by all authors, and uploaded to the system in place of the "Ethical Committee Approval" file.
