Manuscript Review Process

Manuscript Review Process

To ensure the originality and quality of submissions, all manuscripts undergo a rigorous review process. The steps are outlined below

Initial Assessment and Plagiarism Check:All submissions are checked for originality using plagiarism detection software. The Editor-in-Chief reviews each manuscript to assess its alignment with the journal’s scope, policy, and overall quality. If deemed suitable for peer review, the Editor-in-Chief assigns the manuscript to a relevant section editor or directly to reviewers.
Reviewer Assignment:Manuscripts meeting initial criteria are assigned to at least two reviewers with subject-matter expertise, from different institutions, to ensure diverse perspectives. Reviewers are given 15 days to complete their evaluations, though this period may be extended by the Editor-in-Chief or section editors if necessary. If reviewers delay their feedback excessively, new reviewers may be appointed.
Review Outcomes and Editorial Decision:Accepted or Accepted with Revisions: If both reviewers recommend acceptance (with or without revisions), the manuscript proceeds toward publication, provided that authors address any required changes within the specified timeframe.
Split Decision: If one reviewer recommends acceptance and the other recommends rejection, a third reviewer is assigned. The final decision is based on the third reviewer’s evaluation.
Rejection: If at least two reviewers recommend rejection, the manuscript is automatically declined. The Editor-in-Chief and section editors cannot override this decision.
Author Revisions and Resubmission:For manuscripts accepted with major or minor revisions, authors must submit the revised version within the given deadline. Failure to do so may result in rejection.
Right to Appeal:Authors have the right to appeal reviewer decisions by submitting a written justification. The appeal is reviewed by the Editorial Board. If the board finds merit in the appeal, new reviewers may be appointed for a fresh evaluation.
Final Decision:The Editor-in-Chief and/or section editors make the final publication decision based on reviewer feedback, with the responsibility to maintain the scholarly integrity and reputation of the journal.
