• Afyon Kocatepe University Journal of Social Sciences is a scientific journal that aims to contribute to the knowledge of social sciences by publishing scientific studies at national and international levels in the field of social sciences.

• Afyon Kocatepe University Journal of Social Sciences is a refereed journal that publishes scientific articles mainly in the fields of philosophy, psychology, sociology, language and literature; and also includes social science studies in the fields of anthropology, theology, political science and international relations, law, public relations, communication, art and design.

• Afyon Kocatepe University Journal of Social Sciences has been published in accordance with the "Refereed Journal" status since 1999. Until 2017, the journal was published twice a year, in June and December. Due to the need in the field and the intense interest in the journal (increase in the number of articles sent), it was published as 3 issues in 2018, and since 2019, it has been published as four issues per year (March, June, September, December). In addition to these issues, it can also be published as a "Special Issue" once a year.
