This study's objective is to conduct a bibliometric analysis of the thesis and articles on the barter system in Turkish literature. In this context, 41 theses in YOK Thesis Center and 23 articles in Dergipark Database were reviewed and analyzed within the bibliometric features' framework applying Microsoft Excel and MAXQDA 2020 Qualitative Data Analysis programs. The study results show that the increase rate in the number of barter system studies from past to present is quite low. Moreover, only the financing, accounting practices, and functioning of the barter system were highlighted in the studies. Moreover, the research model and data collection techniques that should normally be specified are not provided in most of the studies.
