The general objectives of the "Application and Research Center for Asian Studies" operating under Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University are to conduct research on regions within the Asian borders within the framework of cooperation with higher education institutions, university research centers, and other relevant research units in all Asian countries, to develop joint projects aimed at education, teaching, research, and development, to provide academic support to all social and human sciences departments operating under the university, and to conduct interdisciplinary research among research institutions in Asian countries.
In line with these objectives of the "Application and Research Center for Asian Studies," the Journal of Asian Studies, where all topics related to social and human sciences such as Asia's history, geography, economy, culture, archaeology, and political relations are researched, discussed, and analyzed, began publication with its Winter-2017 issue. The journal, which continues to be published twice a year (Summer and Winter) as an "International Peer-Reviewed Journal," uses a double-blind transparent peer review model; authors are required to provide an ethical declaration, copyright notice, and similarity report. Starting with the December 2019 issue (Volume: 3/Issue: 2), DOI numbers have been assigned to articles published in Turkish and English in the journal.
