Review Process

The publications sent to Balıkesir University Journal of Social Sciences Institute are evaluated to be collected through the processes specified below. In all transactions, legal ethical principles and rules are followed and in the blind refereeing process. COPE principles are followed in ethical principles and rules.

PRELIMINARY EVALUATION
Publications uploaded to Balıkesir University Journal of Social Sciences Institute system are examined in terms of form. Our journal's writing rules are arranged in accordance with it and the requested forms (Copyright Transfer Form and Ethics Committee Document etc.) are sent to the relevant editor with the uploaded publications in full.

EDITOR'S EVALUATION
Publications sent to the editor are examined in detail by the relevant editor. The editor decides at this stage whether the article will be returned regarding its duration or not. The editor examines the publications in terms of originality, topicality, language use, journal scope and other licensed aspects. The publications are returned in accordance with the refereeing procedures. If it is decided to start the refereeing process, the publications are examined in detail in terms of form by the assistant editor. When the similarity ends. If there are any corrections required as a result of this review, the author(s) initiate the period and blind refereeing process.

REFEREE REVIEW

A double-sided blind refereeing system is applied throughout the Journal of Balıkesir University Institute of Social Sciences. During the referee evaluation process, the pieces are sent to be evaluated by at least 2 referees who are suitable for the fields of change.

Referees collect and follow the referee evaluations of our journal in accordance with the official principles and rules. Referees can accept, reject the article or request corrections from the authors regarding the form and/or substance. As a result of the referee evaluations, the corrections and/or suggestions requested by the referees are conveyed to the authors and the relevant software is requested to be run. If the referees request a score again after the corrections, the updated files are conveyed to the referees. If the referees leave the correction to the editor's decision, the referee report and files are examined by the editor.

FINAL REVIEW AND DECISION
Referee reports and publications are reviewed by editors in stages and the article is accepted for publication or decided to be rejected. At least 2 positive referee opinions are required for an article to be accepted for publication, and at least 2 negative referee reports are required for a re-decision.
