Journal of Regional Development is a peer-reviewed and scientific journal that adheres to an open access policy. It is published quarterly, with four issues per year in January, April, July, and October by the General Directorate of Development Agencies of Ministry of Industry and Technology, the journal accepts articles in both Turkish and English languages.

Journal of Regional Development adopts the double-blind refereeing model, and the processes of article acceptance, evaluation, and publication are conducted through the DergiPark system. The articles published in the journal are available for free to all readers.
Articles submitted to the journal must adhere to the Writing Rules of the publication and undergo spelling checks. They should also comply with scientific ethical guidelines, and the similarity rate, excluding references, should not exceed 20 percent. For studies requiring the Ethics Committee Permission, the Ethics Committee Decision document must be uploaded to the system.
