I am a researcher at AMD Research, specializing in high performance computing, AI runtime and programming models. Prior to this role, I developed software and contributed to cloud solutions at Oracle and Amazon Web Services.
I earned my Ph.D. in Computer Science from Utah State University, where I collaborated with multiple professors and research groups to develop cyberinfrastructure solutions and parallel hydrology algorithms. My work was funded by organizations such as the Utah Water Research Laboratory and the National Science Foundation.
Following my doctoral studies, I conducted postdoctoral research at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, focusing on high-performance parallel programs for geographic information systems (GIS) and hydrology algorithms. I have authored more than ten publications, including book chapters, journal articles, and conference papers.
I leverage my PhD in Mathematics and MS in Statistics to implement ML/AI methods on multimodal brain imaging datasets, such as fMRI data. My goal is to advance the understanding and diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, using cutting-edge computational tools and techniques.
With over ten years of experience in data science, big data analysis, signal processing, predictive modeling, mathematical modeling, and computational neuroscience, I have developed and applied various statistical and ML/AI algorithms to high-dimensional and complex data. I have also taught and mentored students in mathematics and statistics, and collaborated with interdisciplinary teams of researchers and clinicians. I am proficient in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, and R, and have published multiple papers in peer-reviewed journals.
