Abstract
The Qurʾān cites some stories about the rise and fall of societies as an example. When the life sections of the Israelites as reported in the Qurʾān are examined, it is understood that they are sometimes supported by blessings and sometimes punished. In the chapter of Isrāʾ, it is stated that the Israelites will rise and fall twice, that this information is written in the book and is also reported to the Israelites, but no details are given. Looking at the whole of the Qurʾān, it is seen that they have experienced multiple collapses. For this reason, it is important to reveal when these two collapses, Allah let know, took place and in which book this information is contained. In this research, the history of the Israelites is discussed in a chronological course, the reflections of the concepts expressing the rise and fall of societies in the verses that mention them are analyzed, and sometimes the Torah and the Tanakh are also referenced. The reasons given by the Qurʾān regarding their rise and fall have been examined and the possibility of deducing social laws from them has been examined. From the examples examined, it was seen that the Israelites rose and fell in different periods of history, and some of these events took place in the Torah and Tanakh. It has been concluded that the first collapse mentioned in the Sūra of Isrāʾ about the Israelites was the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar II, and the second collapse was the Roman Titus' occupation of Jerusalem, the destruction of the temple, the murder of some of the Israelites and the exile of the rest. It has been concluded that the book in which these two collapses are written is the Tanakh.
