Abstract

Faculties of theology are important higher education institutions that have come to the present day by representing the scholarly heritage accumulated in the historical process. However, these institutions are frequently the subject of debate due to problems in both the institutional level and the functioning of the elements in the program structure. These debates raise questions about the quality of education, effectiveness and appropriateness of the faculties of theology. As an educational institution, the main responsibility of the faculties of theology is to educate students on a sound scientific basis and to communicate the theological sciences effectively. It is of great importance that education programs are designed in accordance with the objectives and based on a strong theoretical foundation. In this context, Kuşçuoğlu's research focuses on the experiences of academics who are the managers of the education in order to better understand and evaluate the education in the faculties of theology and aims to examine the theological education through some basic elements by focusing on the principles of curriculum development in education.

Abstract

İlahiyat fakülteleri, tarihsel süreç içinde birikmiş ilmî mirası temsil ederek günümüze kadar gelen önemli yükseköğretim kurumlarıdır. Ancak, bu kurumlar hem kurumsal düzeyde hem de program yapısındaki unsurların işleyişi konusundaki sorunlar nedeniyle sıkça tartışma konusu olmaktadırlar. Bu tartışmalar, ilahiyat fakültelerinin eğitim kalitesi, etkinliği ve amacına uygunluğu üzerindeki soruları gündeme getirmektedir. Eğitim kurumu olarak, ilahiyat fakültelerinin temel sorumluluğu, öğrencilere sağlam bir bilimsel temel üzerinde eğitim vermek ve ilahiyat bilimlerini etkili bir şekilde iletmektir. Eğitim programlarının hedeflere uygun olarak, güçlü bir teorik temele dayandırılarak kurgulanması büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu bağlamda Kuşçuoğlu’nun araştırmasında, ilahiyat fakültelerinde gerçekleştirilen eğitimi daha iyi anlamak ve değerlendirmek amacıyla öğretimin yöneticisi olan akademisyenlerin deneyimlerine odaklandığı ve eğitimde program geliştirme ilkelerini merkeze alarak, ilahiyat eğitimini bazı temel unsurlar üzerinden incelemeyi hedeflediği görülmektedir.
