Call for Papers: Special Issue on "Religion and Artificial Intelligence"

We are pleased to announce a special issue of the Journal of the Faculty of Theology at Eskişehir Osmangazi University, focusing on the intersection of Religion and Artificial Intelligence. This issue aims to explore how AI technologies impact religious practices, theological thought, and ethical approaches, while also investigating how religious traditions and ideas can mutually influence the development and application of AI. We invite original research articles that address the following topics (but are not limited to):

Article Submission Requirements:
Only articles written in English will be published in the special issue.
Articles must adhere to the journal's existing template, ethical principles, and writing guidelines. Submitted papers will undergo the standard peer-review process as outlined on the journal's website.
To submit an article to the special issue, you must activate the "Submit my article to the special issue" option in the "Submit Article" section.

Eskisehir Osmangazi University Journal of Faculty of Theology Special Issue Policy
Eskişehir Osmangazi University Journal of Faculty of Theology aims to encourage in-depth study on special themes of interest to the academic community and to enrich the literature by publishing studies that contribute to these areas. Special issues consist of high quality and original academic articles gathered around a specific theme.

• The subject of the special issue should address an original and current theme in theology and related disciplines.
• Topic proposals are determined and decided by the journal's editorial board or special issue editors.
• Gaps in the academic literature, the international academic agenda and the needs of related fields are taken into consideration when determining the topic.
• Special issue contents must meet the academic standards of the journal.
• Articles should be directly related to the special issue topic in order to maintain thematic integrity.
• Originality and scientific contribution are the primary criteria for article acceptance.
• Special issues are coordinated by one or more guest editors approved by the editorial board of the journal.
• The guest editor(s) are responsible for ensuring the academic quality and relevance of the articles to the theme.
• The call for articles for special issues is made through the journal's website and related platforms.
• Authors should submit their manuscripts in accordance with the journal's writing rules and ethical principles within the specified deadline.
• Submitted articles are subjected to a double-blind review process.
• The submission and review schedule for special issues may differ from regular issues.
• Accepted articles are edited and finalized until the date of publication of the special issue.
• Special issues are published in accordance with the journal's open access policy.
• Authors must fully comply with the ethical rules in their articles.
