Educational Management and Policy Journal is a peer reviewed journal that mainly welcomes original qualitative and quantitative research papers and manuscripts that employ mixed research methods as well as reviews, meta analyses and book reviews in all subfields of educational management.
Submitted manuscripts are reviewed by at least two reviewers/referees in accordance with the editor’s approval. The editor may also recommend that a new reviewer be assigned when deemed necessary. The editorial committee as well as national and international external reviewers may review the manuscripts when their expertise is required. The editor reserves the right to approve the acceptance of the submitted manuscript. The editor only shares information that pertains to the submitted manuscripts (the handling and content of the manuscript, the status of the review process, the critique/comments made by the reviewers)with the author(s) of the manuscript or the reviewers.

Publication Length
The publication process of the journal consists of three stages: Pre-Control, Referee Review and Preparation for Publication.
The pre-evaluation process usually takes 2-4 weeks depending on the editorial board meetings. At this stage, the article is either rejected directly or sent to the reviewer.
The peer review process usually lasts between 6-9 weeks. This period may be even longer depending on the authors' corrections and whether a second referee's opinion is required.
The process of editing, design and publication of the refereed articles takes an average of 2-4 weeks.
It takes 4-6 months to publish an article in total.
Ethics Committee Approval
The author(s) are supposed to state that they obtained the ethics committee approval for researches that require data collection by quantitative or qualitative methods such as experiments, surveys, scales, interviews, observations, focus group studies that require an ethical committee decision. The author(s) should state the name, decision date and number of the ethics committee on the first or last page of the candidate article and in the method section. Moreover the author(s) should upload the document showing the ethical committee decision to the system while applying for an article to be published. In addition, case reports should include information about the informed consent form.
Ethics committee approval is not required for review articles from the author (s). However, in articles that do not require an ethical committee decision, it should be stated that the ethical committee decision is not required on the first or last page of the article and in the method section. It is necessary to document that the ethical principles are complied with for the studies that have applied or will apply to our journal among the studies whose research data has been collected after January 1, 2020. For this reason:
1- Authors should upload their ethical approval documents to the system along with their articles.
2- A subtitle with the name of “Ethical Issues” should be opened in the Method section of the article and information should be given about the ethical permission process of the study.
3- The last page of the article should be as the following:

4- For the articles, data of which were collected before 2020, articles produced from postgraduate/doctoral studies (should be specified in the article), and the articles that were submitted and accepted to the journal for the previous year but not yet published, retrospective ethics committee approval is not a necessity.
