Thank you for your interest in The Journal of General Medicine. Our Journal is an international, non-profit, Open Access (OA) journal, publishing articles on a broad range of topics within the field.
WRITTEN LANGUAGE IS ENGLISH. OUR JOURNAL; ORIGINAL ARTICLE, INVITED REVIEW, LETTER TO THE EDITOR AND CASE REPORT ON THE FIELD OF MEDICINE AND HEALTH SCIENCES ARE ACCEPTED.
Please read the complete Author Guidelines carefully prior to submission, including the section on copyright. To ensure fast peer review and publication, manuscripts that do not adhere to the following instructions will be returned to the corresponding author for technical revision before undergoing peer review.
This Journal recommends that authors follow the Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals formulated by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). https://www.icmje.org/icmje-recommendations.pdf The submitting author and corresponding author are responsible for providing valid and attended email address, and should check the email regularly, in order not to delay the editorial procedure.
MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Note that submission implies that the content has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere except as a brief abstract in the proceedings of a scientific meeting or symposium. Once you have prepared your submission in accordance with the Guidelines, manuscripts should be submitted online at https://dergipark.org.tr/en/journal/3567/submission/step/manuscript/new
The account of the corresponding author of the study should be used in the applications. All correspondence regarding the application is forwarded to the responsible author via e-mail sent through the journal system.
WRITING RULES
A-TITLE PAGE
1.A separate title page should be submitted with all submissions and this page should include (The title should be short and informative, containing major keywords related to the content. The title should not contain abbreviations): Turkish and English title, short title, name-surname, qualifications (academic degree), affiliations, affiliation addresses, e-mail, ROR ID, and *Orcid ID of all authors .
2.The name, address, email address and telephone number of the corresponding author should be clearly indicated separately on the title page.
3.The journal operates a double-blind peer review policy, so please ensure that identifying information is only included in the title page file, and that the separate 'Main Document' file is anonymized.
4.When uploading the article file, make sure that it does not contain any elements (SUCH AS AUTHOR NAME AND INSTITUTION) that would decipher the identity of the author due to the double-blind peer-review process.

6. Change of Author: Only processed before the article is accepted. Authors are required to carefully review the list and order of authors before submitting their manuscript, and to provide the definitive list of authors at the time of original submission.
7. CONFLICT OF INTEREST AND FINANCE information should be included.
B-MAIN DOCUMENT
1.Original papers should be divided into sections as follows: TR and ENG abstract, Introduction, Material and Methods, Results, Discussion.
2.Submit the manuscript as one Microsoft Word file; using 12 point font (Times New Roman); 1.5 spacing; and employs italics, rather than underlining. ARTICLE FORMAT SHOULD BE WORD. DOC. DOCX.
3.Pages should be numbered but do not use any other automated features (such as endnotes, headers or footers), or any mechanism to track changes to various drafts of a manuscript.
4.Numbers one to ten should be written as words in the text, unless used as a unit of measurement; all numbers should be written in digits in tables and figures.
5.All numbers which start sentences should be written in words, not digits.
6.Bold type-face should be used for headings of sections and sub-sections within the paper.
7.Do not use tabs or indents within the text of the paper.
8.Writing should be clear, simple and direct.
9.All tables are placed at the end of the paper, after the references.
10.ABBREVIATIONS USED IN THE TABLE SHOULD BE EXPLAINED UNDER THE TABLE.
11.TABLE AND FIGURE HEADINGS MUST BE ADDED TO THE END OF RESOURCES AS TABLE OR FIGURE LEGEND.
12.Photographs and illustrations are submitted and as separate JPG, JPEG or TIFF files (resolution of at least 300 dpi).
13.3-5 MOST IMPORTANT INFORMATION OBTAINED AS A RESULT OF THIS STUDY SHOULD BE STATED IN ITEMS.
14.AUTHORS' CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE STUDY MUST BE ADDED TO THE MAIN TEXT AT THE END OF THE ARTICLE.
15. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS SHOULD BE BEFORE REFERENCES.
C-ABSTRACT & KEYWORDS
1.Our Journal requires structured abstracts for all original articles.
2.The following headlines should be used where appropriate: Objective, Material and Method, Results, and Conclusion.
3.Please make sure the abstract provides an answer to the aim of the study, and that the total number of words does not exceed 300.
4.A list of from 4-8 key-words or terms from Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) https://www.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/MBrowser.html suitable for indexing terms should be typed at the bottom of the abstract page.
D-REFERENCES
1.Articles should be prepared according to the Vancouver Citation System.
2.References should be numbered consecutively in the order in which they are first mentioned in the text.
3.Identify references in the text by Arabic numerals in parenthesis as follows: "as shown by Kara (5)":... if two authors; "Yilmaz & Ulusoy (6)";... if more than two authors; "Turk-Dagi et al. (7)".
4.When citing two or more sources at once, write a number for each separated by a comma e.g. (1, 2) or (6, 12)
5.When citing more than two sources which are numbered consecutively, use a hyphen instead of a comma e.g. (3-5)
6.If you need to cite a particular work more than once, you can use the same reference number for each citation Numbers should be in brackets and placed after punctuation marks such as full stops or commas, but before colons and semi-colons.
7.The style of references must follow the Vancouver system, and for the abbreviations of journal titles: please consult the Journals database, hosted at https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/nlmcatalog/journals/
8.A reference gives the full details of the brief citation you have referred to in text and is shown at the end of your essay.
9.A reference will include authors, titles, editions, publisher details and journal details If the work has six authors or fewer, list all of them.
10.If there are more than six authors, list the first six authors followed by et al.

Plagiarism is generally understood to be the “passing off” of another's research or work as your own. ALL ARTICLES SENT TO OUR JOURNAL WILL BE SCANNED FOR SIMILARITY AND plagiarism, AND STUDIES WITH MORE THAN 20% SIMILARITY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED WHEN EXCLUDING THE REFERENCES SECTION.
*ORCID ID
We recommend that the open researcher and contributor ID (ORCID) of all authors to be provided. For an ORCID, authors should register at the ORCID web site available from https://orcid.org/register Registration is free to every researcher in the world.
REVISION
Authors should mark the changes they made in the main text in color while submitting the article revision files. The responses to the referees should be specified in a separate Word file.
