Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burçin Atılgan Türkmen is an academic who is affiliated with Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University. After graduating from Eskişehir Osmangazi University Department of Chemical Engineering in 2008, she completed both her master and doctoral studies at the University of Manchester in 2016.

Hüseyin Gökçe worked in the automotive and cast-iron sectors until mid-2009. Gökçe, who started working full-time at Çankırı Karatekin University in 2009, currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department of the same University. Main topics of study are machinability, metal cutting, cutting tools, manufacturing processes, CNC, CAD, CAM and CAE. Gökçe is also a member of the Çankırı Chamber of Mechanical Engineers Provincial Board of Directors.
Dr. Karolos J. Kontoleon holds an M.Eng. Degree in Civil Eng. (2000) and a Ph.D. Degree in Civil Eng. (2006) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.Th.), Greece. His past employment was at the Technical Services Office and the Department of Technical Services/Projects, in the Thessaloniki regional unit of Central Macedonia, as a Municipal and Governmental Civil Engineer, respectively (public positions). In January 2012 and August 2015 he was elected as a Lecturer and as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering in A.U.Th. and more specifically at the Laboratory of Building Construction & Building Physics (LBCP), which is a branch of the Structural Eng. Division.
At the present stage, since April 2022, he has been assigned as an Associate Professor at the Department of Civil Eng. (A.U.Th.) with responsibilities on both teaching and research at all levels of the curriculum framework (undergraduate and postgraduate levels). His main research interests concern: (a) heat transfer, (b) building construction and building physics, (c) thermal inertia and response of buildings, (d) thermal behaviour and performance of buildings, (e) thermal modelling-analysis of buildings, (f) environmental design of buildings and (g) fire protection-safety of building structures.
Furthermore, from 2012 until today he has been lecturing in the interdepartmental postgraduate program of the Department of Architecture (A.U.Th.), entitled “Preservation, Conservation and Restoration of Cultural/Architectural Monuments”. Apart from that, since 2017 until now, he has been hired as a teaching associate on both lecturing and research in a postgraduate program of the Hellenic Open University (H.O.U.), entitled "Environmental Design of Buildings". Besides, in the past, he has been assigned as a teaching associate with the International Hellenic University (I.H.U.) and several public Institutes of Vocational Training.
He is the author of more than 90 papers published in renowned national/international peer-reviewed scientific journals, conference proceedings, research volumes, technical papers and book chapters. The number of citations of his publications appearing in Scopus exceeds 1700 (by more than 1450 documents) and his h-index is 20.
