Open Access refers to publications being freely accessible online for everyone, with defined restrictions on reuse. Unrestricted dissemination of research is crucial for authors, readers, and funders. Starting from its second issue in 2023 (Volume: 10 Issue: 2), the Hittite Journal of Science and Engineering publishes all academic articles under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license. The journal believes that open access requires transparency in user rights and copyright ownership through licensing for effective functioning.

The full texts of all articles published in the Hittite Journal of Science and Engineering can be accessed instantly by everyone through open access viewing at https://dergipark.org.tr/en/pub/hjse.
