Iğdır University Journal of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences is a peer-reviewed journal operating within the ethical principles and rules stated below to publish qualified scientific research.
Original scientific research and reviews submitted to the Iğdır University Journal of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences are evaluated by an open peer-review process and published electronically free of charge. All components of the scientific publication process—publisher, editors, authors, referees, and readers—must comply with the ethical principles that apply at all stages of the journal publication process.
The Ethical Principles and Publication Policy of the Iğdır University Journal of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences are in line with the guidelines and policies published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All components of the publication process are required to comply with ethical principles stated, for example, in the “Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors” and “COPE Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors”.
In the articles sent to the journal for publication, in case of detection of plagiarism, fabrication, deception, distortion, manipulation, this situation will be reported to the author’s institution, and the article will be rejected. If deemed necessary by the journal, editors or referees, reserves the right to request data files regarding the analysis results from the authors.
The articles submitted to the Journal of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Iğdır University should be about scientific studies in the journal’s fields.
All sources used in articles (authors, online pages, personal interviews, etc.) should be cited accurately and appropriately.
The originality rate (with the exception of bibliography - 9 or more word matches) should not exceed 20%, and a report showing the situation should be attached.
It should be stated that the articles sent to the journal were not sent to another journal, and the Author Contributions and Conflict of Interest Declaration Form should be filled.
Persons who do not contribute intellectually to the article should not be mentioned as authors.
Conflicts of interest regarding the submitted manuscript should be stated, and the reason should be explained.
Authors may be required to submit raw data regarding their work to the editorial board while in the peer review process, in which case the authors are expected to share their raw data with the editorial board.
Authors are obliged to keep the data of a published article for five years.
When authors detect an error in their work, they should inform the editor and the editorial board and cooperate to correct or withdraw.
The authors should state that they received ethics committee approval for research that requires data collection using quantitative or qualitative methods such as experiments, questionnaires, scales, interviews, observations, and focus group studies that require an ethics committee decision. This should be specified in the method section, and the document showing the ethics committee’s decision should be uploaded to the system.
Authors should present in the article evidence that they pay attention to ethical principles in the data collection process (such as obtaining their permission to use other people’s documents such as scales, questionnaires, photographs). It should be stated in the articles that research and publication ethics and copyright regulations for intellectual and artistic works are complied with. If the research was carried out on human and animal subjects, it should be stated that it was carried out according to international reports, guidelines, etc.
Ethics committee approval is not required from authors for review articles. However, articles that do not require an ethics committee decision should be stated on the first-last page of the article and in the method section that an ethics committee decision is not required.

Plagiarism and Unethical Behaviors:
All articles sent to the Journal of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Iğdır University are scanned with the IThenticate or Turnitin program before they are published. For the acceptance of the articles, the articles with a plagiarism rate of a maximum of 20% are accepted for publication. Articles exceeding this rate are examined in detail and sent back to the authors for revision or correction if deemed necessary. If plagiarism or unethical behaviour is detected, they are rejected for publication.

Plagiarism: Publishing the ideas, data, works and publications of others as their own, without making the necessary citations and citing the source, in accordance with scientific methods,
Gift authorship: Appearing/displaying as an author in a study (research design, data collection, evaluation, preparation and approval of publication) without adequate contribution,
Author hiding: Not including the name of the authors even though they contributed to the study,
Violation of the principle of voluntary participation: Forcing students or other participating groups to participate in the research,
Not obtaining informed consent: Obtaining the consent of the volunteers participating in the research without adequately informing them about the implementation steps and risks of the research,
Violation of the privacy policy: Sharing the personal or institutional data obtained from the participants without legal obligation, not keeping the identities of the participants in the research confidential.
