The International Journal of Mardin Studies (IJMS) is a peer-reviewed interdisciplinary academic journal published twice per year (June-December) by Mardin Artuklu University. IJMS is dedicated to exploring the critical intersections of history, technology and design. IJMS aims to be a dynamic point of connection between disciplines, perspectives and temporalities. The journal welcomes submissions that explore the intersections of history | technology | design where " | " symbolises the fluid relationships between the two sides, accommodating various prepositions such as of, for, about, through, with, in, across, and others. Accordingly, studies such as the aesthetic qualities of historical places, contemporary designs produced with technology-based methods, or technology historiography exemplify the scope of IJMS. Therefore, all interdisciplinary topics between history, design and technology are accepted for publication, provided they have scientific content and are prepared in English or Turkish. IJMS publishes original research articles, reviews, and theoretical studies-book reviews and introductions are also included.
IJMS is preparing for 2025 issues with a new editorial team and scope. Click here for the renewed journal boards. Please also click here for the current Aim and Scope of IJMS.
