THE EFFECTS OF AIPAC’S POLICY ON THE US FOREIGN POLITICS AND IRANIAN NUCLEAR NEGOTIATIONS

Year 2016, Volume: 1 Issue: 2, 111 - 146, 20.12.2016

Abstract

Iran’s progress on the production of nuclear weapons posed a threat to Israel in the Middle East. This threat has gained a more serious dimension in the 2000’s and severe sanctions were imposed on Iran in conjunction with an United Nation’s (UN) Security Council resolution. UN’s and US sanctions against Iran’s nuclear programme, become a deterrent in preventing Iran’s activities on nuclear capacity development. In this regard, The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) operates in the Washington D.C USA as a powerful lobbying group for improvement of American-Israeli relations that aims to steer away the US-Iranian relations on the issue and the negotiation process between the parties.

AIPAC’İN AMERİKAN DIŞ POLİTİKASINI VE İRAN NÜKLEER MÜZAKERELERİNİ ETKİLEME SİYASETİ

Year 2016, Volume: 1 Issue: 2, 111 - 146, 20.12.2016
