Article Evaluation Process and Referee System

 Article Evaluation Process

1- Studies submitted to IZU Journal of Education are subjected to preliminary evaluation by the Editorial Board of the journal within the framework of factors such as compliance with spelling rules, similarity screening (Ithenticate), citation and bibliography, timeliness, purpose, scope and scientificity.
2- The manuscripts deemed appropriate as a result of the preliminary evaluation are forwarded to the relevant Editor by the Editor-in-Chief upon the operation of the double blind refereeing policy.
3- The Editor invites at least two independent expert referees to evaluate the scientific quality of the manuscript together with the Associate Editor. In the event that one referee gives a positive opinion and one referee gives a negative opinion, the article is sent to a third referee. Acceptance or rejection decision is taken in line with the decision of the third referee. The information of the Author and Referees is kept confidential.
4- Based on the evaluation results of the referees, the Editor marks his/her decision. If requested, he/she forwards the work to the author again for corrections, if not requested and accepted, he/she accepts the work.
5- Accepted manuscripts are forwarded by the Editor or Deputy Editor to the Language Editor for review in terms of language, grammar, meaning and expression disorders and, if necessary, corrections are requested from the author.
6- All completed manuscripts are forwarded by the Editor to the Layout Editor.
7- Articles that are ready for publication are published electronically as an early view.
