Dr. Faruk Karahan is a Research Assistant in the Department of Biology at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University since 2011. He acquired his Ph.D. degree in Plant Taxonomy through the Department of Biology, Hatay Mustafa Kemal University, Turkey. His research interests are related to plant taxonomy, plant biodiversity, medicinal plants, ethnobotany, and ecotoxicology. His articles have been published in Molecules, Phytotaxa, Journal of Plant Research, Turkish Journal of Botany, Biotechnology & Biotechnological Equipment, Biological Trace Element Research, Pharmaceutical Chemistry Journal, Acta Botanica Croatica, and Arabian Journal of Geosciences. He is studying as an author Illustrated Turkish Flora Project supported by the Turkish Presidency. Dr. Karahan is a member of the International Organizing Committee at the International Mediterranean Symposiums on Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MESMAP). Cem Tırınk is an associate professor in the Department of Biometry and Genetics, Faculty of Agriculture, Zootekni at Iğdır University. He continues his academic career by delving into the field of zootekni and specializing in biometry and genetics. His research focuses on data mining, machine learning, population genetics, and genetic data analysis. In addition to teaching biometry and genetics, he has participated in numerous scientific projects and has been involved in national and international efforts to enhance his expertise in the field. Alongside his professional achievements, he places great importance on collaborations within the scientific community and on mentoring.
