For articles submitted to the journal, authors undertake that the article is their original work and that there is no plagiarism in the article, that all authors have individually participated in this study, that they have taken all kinds of responsibility for this study and that they have acted in accordance with ethical rules. In addition, authors are deemed to have read the YÖK Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Directive and are reminded that they should not commit actions that would require ethical violations such as plagiarism, forgery, distortion, re-publication, slicing, and unfair authorship, which are considered as Actions Contrary to Scientific Research and Publication Ethics. Authors who are found to have committed these actions are blacklisted so that they cannot submit any articles to the journal.
Similarity/plagiarism scans are performed on articles to be published in our journal using Turnitin and ithenticate programs. Articles with a similarity rate exceeding 12% are not accepted into the publication process. (Any article with a screening result above 12% is rejected without further action)
Çankırı Karatekin University Journal of Social Sciences Institute complies with international research and publication ethics standards. The journal editorship follows the publication ethics defined in the COPE guide and deems it necessary for referees and authors to follow these standards.
For articles to be sent to the journal:
1. “Ethics Committee Permission” is required for all kinds of research conducted with qualitative or quantitative approaches that require data collection from participants using survey, interview, focus group study, observation, experiment, interview techniques.
2. “Ethics Committee Permission” is required for research using humans and animals (including material/data) for experimental or other scientific purposes.
3. If the study requires the use of human or animal subjects, it must be declared that the study was conducted in accordance with international declarations, guidelines, etc. In this context,
* The Declaration of Helsinki must be adhered to in studies conducted on humans.
*In studies conducted on animals, the “Universal Declaration of Animal Rights”, “European Union Directives and Regulations and the “Animal Rights Law” must be followed.
4. In case reports, an “Informed Voluntary Consent Form” document must be prepared and uploaded to the system.
5. According to the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698, “Ethics Committee Permission” is required for retrospective studies.
6. For studies that do not require Ethics Committee Permission, the Çankırı Karatekin University Social Sciences Institute Journal Ethics Committee Permission Declaration Form must be prepared, signed and uploaded to the system. https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/download/journal-file/20556
