Preliminary Editor Review
Articles that comply with the journal's publication and writing rules and also the similarity rate are subject to editorial preliminary evaluation. During this process, the introduction, method, findings and discussion sections of the articles are evaluated in terms of the scope and objectives of the journal as well as compliance with the research reporting processes. Articles that are not found to comply with the journal's publication and writing rules and scope as a result of the preliminary evaluation, or that are incorrect or unoriginal are rejected without being accepted for peer review.
Article Peer Review Evaluation
Studies that pass the preliminary evaluation stage are forwarded to 2 or more referees who are experts in their fields, determined by the editors or field editors, depending on the nature of the study. Articles submitted for publication are evaluated by independent referees using the BLIND EVALUATION ( Double-Blind Refereeing) method. Your articles sent to JSTER are accepted by the Editor's decision after at least two independent referees are appointed to evaluate the article and deem it publicable.
All studies submitted for publication are sent to expert referees for evaluation. After the review process, which ends with at least 2 referees sending their responses, the editor decides whether to seek additional referee opinions for the study or whether it will be published, taking into account the accuracy and importance of the study and the referee reports. The editor may need the advice of other editors or referees when deciding on the work. The normal article process is aimed to be completed in between 30-45 days.
Articles that include the names of the editor and field editor are assigned to an editor/field editor other than these names. The double-blind refereeing process is continued in the same way for these articles. The editor/field editor whose name is included as an author does not participate in the evaluation process of these articles, the evaluation process is carried out independently.
Referee Evaluation Criteria
1. The referee should respect the confidentiality of the review process, and the referee should refrain from using the information obtained during the review process for the benefit of himself or others, or to cause others' disadvantage and discredit.
2. The referee should not involve another person (including someone in his first years of research as a consultant) in the manuscript evaluation process without notifying the journal.
3. If the referee encounters any irregularities related to research and publication ethics, he must inform the journal.
Referees will answer the following questions during the evaluation process:
- Does the title and subtitles of the article reflect the work sufficiently?
- Does the summary of the article cover the purpose, method and results of the study?
- Does the article have an original contribution to science / art?
- Is the method and application used in the article sufficient?
- Are the problematic and concepts linked in the article and are they used appropriately?
- Is the language and expression used in the article sufficient?
- Are the sources used in the article current, relevant and sufficient?
- (If any) Are the figures and tables used in the article sufficient?
- If you had written an article on the same topic, would you benefit from this article
-Are the sources in the text specified in the bibliography?
-Are there any references in the bibliography that are not mentioned in the text?
Article correction
A Corrigendum will be published where it is required to correct an error or omission, but the integrity and findings of the article are not impacted by the error. The Corrigendum should be drafted by the authors. All authors must agree to publication. The Corrigendum will be linked to the article that it corrects.
Article Withdrawal (Author)
According to JSTER publication policy, the collaboration between the journal editor and the author is required in retraction procedures. Author(s) who wish to retract their work under evaluation must submit a petition stating the reason for retraction, signed by all authors, to the editorial board electronically or in print. This request will be reviewed and the author will be contacted.
Since the publishing rights have been transferred to the JSTER by the author (s) at the time of article submission, the article cannot be submitted for evaluation to another journal, unless the study's withdrawal request is approved.
