Kronotop Journal of Communication is a twice-yearly, open access, free of charge peer-reviewed journal published by the Communication Faculty at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University. The journal aims to publish theoretical and practical research focusing on humanities and communication science.
Kronotop Journal of Communication is an interdisciplinary publication, and accepts works including essays, book reviews, and art presentations.
Kronotop Journal of Communication is published biannually in January and July in Turkish and English. Kronotop is a portmanteau of the words “Kronos” and “Topos,” alluding to the unity of time and space. As well as pointing to the archeological history of the city of Hatay, which has been the cradle to many civilisations, the name also references the intertextual nature of communication. Kronotop is a malleable concept, referring to the fluidity of communication and the unity of time and space. Based on this, Kronotop Journal of Communication aims to contribute to the field of communication on a national and international level at the intersection of social sciences and communication science, with the support of fresh and impactful theoretical approaches. No fees are required for the submission, evaluation, or publication of articles.
