Original and review articles from systematic and basic mycology, lichenology, applied mycology, medical mycology, phytopathology and similar science fields are published in our journal.

Original articles should be based on research, review articles should be based on current sources.

Open Access Policy

Mantar Dergisi (The Journal of Fungus) is a completely free, international, peer-reviewed and open access journal. It does not charge article processing fees (review fees or printing fees) and subscription fees for accessing articles.



Editorial Process

Mantar Dergisi (The Journal of Fungus) uses double-blind peer-review system in the evaluation process of all articles.

Editor-in-Chief and Field editors; is obliged to implement the "Blind Refereeing and Evaluation Process" policies included in the journal's publication policies. In this context, the editor-in-chief and field editors control the completion of the fair, impartial and timely evaluation process of the work.


The articles sent to our journal are first evaluated in terms of grammar. After this stage, it is sent to two referees. If necessary, the third referee is evaluated. In the publication of the articles, the decision is made by evaluating the level of contribution to science and readers within the scope of the criteria specified in the writing rules. Referees are requested to submit their evaluations to the journal within 30 days at the latest. The referee's evaluations, the author's replies to these evaluations, and the recommendations of the field editors, if any, are reviewed by the editor-in-chief and he or she decides whether the work will be published or not.
