Open Access Policy

Media and Culture has been publishing all articles under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license since it started publishing. This license means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access. 

LOCKSS system has permission to collect, preserve, and serve this open access Archival Unit.

"Open Access" is a term that covers both Gratis and Libre Open Access. While "Gratis" open access means free online access, "libre" open access means free online access as well as some usage rights.
Media and Culture, in addition, to publishing scientific research, offers this research free of charge by adopting the principle that providing information free of charge will increase its global sharing and the policy of providing open access. Moreover, it provides instant open access to its content.
The journal is open access, and the entire content of the journal is provided free of charge to the reader or to the organization to which the reader belongs. Without permission from the publisher or the author and except for commercial purposes, the readers can read, download, copy, search, and provide links to the full text of the journal articles. They can also rearrange them, provided that the original work is properly cited.

This policy is in line with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition, and Media and Culture has also signed the BOAI.


Privacy Statement

The private information that is held in the administration system of Media and Culture will not be shared with any third party and will only be used in accordance with the scientific purposes of this journal and Sakarya University. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that the article has been seen and approved by all the other authors.
