Abstract
Yoruk-Turkmen communities and their cultural values appear as one of the valuable social phenomena that play an important role in the Turkification and the formation of the musical tradition of Anatolia. Teke region is a region that is the habitat of Yoruk-Turkmen communities. The dynamism of the nomadic life in these communities has various traces on the existing cultural and traditional structure. In this regard, Teke region is one of the important cultural centers of our country. One of the important features of the region in terms of folklore is that it raises resource people who have their own style and performance techniques. Considering this feature, it can be said that music and products closely related to music stand out among the folklore products produced in the region. Considering the place and importance of music in folklore products, it is seen that some products are complementary to some products, directly related to some products and a directional element, some products themselves. Therefore, music is one of the most important building-stone connected to some folklore products in a spiral structure. Considering this multi-perceptional structure, it is necessary to make multi-faceted in-depth analyzes while determining the functionality of the music in folklore products. In this study, Habib Özyurt will be the focus with his melodies, folk songs he has produced in Teke region, one of the important cultural centers of our country, as well as his role as a source person as a transmitter, as well as the folklore material that he has made significant contributions to the production and development of Habib Özyurt. In this study, Habib Özyurt's life; while considering the music and its effect on the production of the work, the works will be examined in terms of modality and curtain use, and musical analyzes will be made as scientific data for future generations and related research. In the study, it is aimed to determine the musical and structural features of the four-string cura, which is only seen in the region, to preserve the original state of the instrument and to set an example for the materials to be made in this field. Cultural policies are as important as preserving the verbal, visual, audio and material products included in the folklore and transferring them to the next generations, as well as the scientific studies on these products. Considering this importance in the context of music and musical products, which are an important field of folklore, it is extremely is important. Habib Özyurt, the source person in the study, comes to the forefront with the performance he produced, transmitted and perhaps most importantly, his four-string curas, which is only used in traditional music, to be an important representative of intangible cultural heritage. In this respect, determining the structural characteristics of the instrument (four-stringed cura) used by the local artist Habib Özyurt, specifying the stylistic and behavioral features in his perfor-mance, and adding musical analysis samples of musical works of which he is a source person or carrier to folklore literature is considered very important.
