Selda Coşkuner Aktaş is an associate professor in Family and Consumer Sciences at Hacettepe University, where she has been a faculty member since 2004 in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. She earned her BSc, MSc, and PhD in Family and Consumer Sciences from Hacettepe University, completing her degrees in 2004, 2007, and 2013. In addition to her academic journey at Hacettepe, Dr. Coşkuner Aktaş pursued a BSc in Business Management in 2005 and another in Sociology in 2020 from Anadolu University. Her commitment to broadening her expertise took her to North Carolina State University (NCSU), where she served as a visiting scholar from 2011 to 2012 and conducted research from July to September 2015. As a member of the American Sociological Association (ASA), Dr. Coşkuner Aktaş’s research interests encompass a range of topics, including role theory, multiple roles, role balance, family-work balance, and gender roles. Her work continues to contribute significantly to family dynamics and well-being.
