Dr. Levent Altıntaş is the Head of the Department of Medical Education at Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University Faculty of Medicine and serves as Vice Rector.
Dr. Altıntaş graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Medicine in 1991 and earned his Ph.D. in Public Health and Preventive Medicine from Istanbul University in 1998.
With over 25 years of academic experience in medical education, Dr. Altıntaş has been an Associate Professor in Medical Education since 2015. He is an expert in the development and management of undergraduate and graduate medical education programmes, focusing on the development and evaluation of medical education curricula and management.
He is a co-founder of the Ph.D. and MSc programmes in Medical Education at Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University and has been actively involved in their administration and implementation. Dr. Altıntaş is also a member of the Executive Board for the Turkish Core Undergraduate Medical Education Programme. Additionally, he has played a significant role in the development and maintenance of numerous undergraduate and graduate medical education programmes and their accreditation processes in Turkey.
Dr. Altıntaş holds several key positions in professional organizations. He is a Board Member of the Turkish Association of Medical Education (TTED), Vice President of the Association for the Development of Medical Education (TEGED), and a member of the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Medical Education Programmes (TEPDAD) as well as the International Medical Education Accreditations Board of TEPDAD. He is actively engaged in national and international medical education accreditation processes.
