Abstract

Abstract

Cancer patients visit the emergency room many times during the treatment process. Situations that cause admission to the emergency department or require urgent intervention are called "oncological emergencies". Oncological emergencies are acute situations that develop due to cancer or complex treatments and require rapid intervention due to the risk of permanent damage and death. It can be seen at any time from the moment of diagnosis of cancer to the terminal stage of the disease. Oncological emergencies; It can be classified in different ways, including tumor-related, metabolic-related, structural-related and treatment-related. This article covers treatment-related oncological emergencies. In this article, extravasation, cytokine release syndrome and hemorrhagic cystitis are included within the scope of treatment-related oncological emergencies.
