Peer-Review Process

Peer-Review Process
Article Evaluation Process
1. Articles submitted to the TRT Academy Journal first undergo a preliminary evaluation.
2. During the pre-evaluation, the journal editors assess the article’s scientific quality and compliance with publication principles. If deemed suitable, the issue editor initiates the peer review process.
3. Articles approved by the issue editor proceed to a double-blind peer review.
4. To prevent conflicts of interest, reviewers must not be affiliated with the same institution as the author(s) or have previously worked at the same institution.
5. If both reviewers provide positive reports, the article is prepared for publication upon final approval by the issue editor and editorial board. However:
-If one reviewer's report is positive while the other is negative, a third reviewer is assigned.
- If the third reviewer’s report is also negative, the article is rejected.
6. Reviewers may request minor or major revisions. In such cases, the author(s) must complete the necessary revisions within the specified timeframe.
Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers
1. All information related to the reviewed article must remain confidential. Discussions or disclosures about the article on external platforms are strictly prohibited.
2. Documents related to the refereeing process must not be shared outside the journal’s editorial team.
3. The evaluation process must be conducted fairly and impartially.
4. Reviewers must complete their evaluations within the given deadline to prevent unnecessary delays.
5. They should collaborate with the editor and provide relevant feedback and recommendations when necessary.
6. Evaluation reports must not contain offensive or inappropriate language.
7. Any requested revisions should be stated clearly and explicitly.
8. If a reviewer encounters a conflict of interest during the evaluation process, they must decline the review and notify the journal editor.
