The Journal of Uludağ University Medical Faculty is a national-international, multidisciplinary, independent, double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access, and online-published journal, serving as the scientific publication organ of the Faculty of Medicine at Bursa Uludağ University. It is published every four months (April, August, December). Three issues make up one volume. In the journal, original research, reviews, case reports, and letters to the editor in the fields of basic and clinical medical sciences that have not been published elsewhere or submitted for publication elsewhere are published.
Articles submitted for evaluation to the journal are reviewed by the Editorial Board, Advisory Board members, and Scientific Advisors, and those deemed suitable for publication are published.
The publication policies of the Journal of Uludağ University Medical Faculty comply with the guidelines set by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The Journal of Uludağ University Medical Faculty supports the Budapest Open Access Initiative statement.
The publication language of the journal is English.
The Journal of Uludağ University Medical Faculty has been published since 1975 and has been available online since 2001. The Journal of Uludağ University Medical Faculty has accepted articles only in Turkish from the day it started publication until the end of 2023. Starting from 2024, the journal has accepted articles in both Turkish and English. Starting from 2025, the journal's publication language became English, and all articles began to be accepted in English.
For articles requiring an ethics committee decision, submission must be made in accordance with our Journal's Ethical Principles and Publication Policy. The Journal of Uludağ University Medical Faculty is included and indexed in the ULAKBİM-TR DİZİN. Additionally, it has been indexing by EBSCO since 2024.
The Journal of Uludağ University Medical Faculty assigns DOI numbers to articles that have reached the publication stage upon acceptance.
The Journal of Uludağ University Medical Faculty requires the ORCID identifiers of all authors included in the submitted articles to be specified.
All articles are examined for similarity or plagiarism. Articles submitted to the journal for evaluation are examined using the "Plagiarism Detection Program" (iThenticate), and articles with a similarity rate above 20% are returned to the authors.
