Abstract

Pediatrik spinal tümörler içerisinde spinal meningiomların görülme sıklığı %4,3 gibi oldukça düşük oran olmasına rağmen metastatik kitlele-ri taklit edebildiğinden ayırıcı tanıda mutlaka akılda tutulmalıdır. Bu olgu sunumunda, travma sonrası başlayan boyun ve sol omuza yayılan ağrı, sol kolunda güçsüzlük şikâyeti olan ve servikal meningiom saptanan 9 yaşında erkek hasta bildirilmiştir. Tedavide altın standart cerrahi rezeksiyondur.

Cervical Meningioma in a 9-Year-Old Child: A Case Report

Abstract

Although the incidence of spinal meningiomas among pediatric spinal tumors is quite low, at 4.3%, it should be kept in mind in differential diagnosis as it can mimic metastatic masses. In this case report, a 9-year-old male patient with cervical meningioma with complaints of post-traumatic pain spreading to the neck and left shoulder, weakness in the left arm was reported. The gold standard in treatment is surgical resection.
