Dergiye Gönderilen Makalelerin Değerlendirme Süreci şu şekildedir:

1-Gönderilen yazılar; amaç, kapsam, yöntem ve yazım ilkeleri açısından editör ve/veya yayın kurulu üyeleri tarafından değerlendirilir. Dergi editörlerince ön kontrol aşamasından geçen makaleyi değerlendirmek üzere iki hakem belirlenir.

2-Yayın ve yazım ilkelerine uygun olan yazılar, bilimsel açıdan değerlendirilmek üzere, sahasında eser ve çalışmalarıyla tanınan iki hakeme, yazarının ismi belirtilmeksizin (kör hakemlik) gönderilir.

3- Genel olarak hakemin 15 günlük bir zaman diliminde hakemlik görevini kabul edip etmeme zamanı vardır. Hakemlik görevini kabul eden hakeme, makaleyi değerlendirmek için 30 günlük süre verilir. Bu genel durumun yanında, sisteme yüklenen makalelerin değerlendirilmesi süreci mümkün olduğunca hızlandırılır.  

4-İki hakemin de "Yayınlanması Uygundur" şeklinde görüş bildirmesi halinde yazı en kısa sürede Yayın Kurulunun belirleyeceği cilt ve sayıda yayımlanır.

5-İki hakemin de "Yayınlanması Uygun Değildir" şeklinde görüş bildirmesi halinde ise yazı dergide yayımlanmaz.

6-Yazının yayımlanması hakkında hakemlerden birinin olumlu, diğerinin olumsuz görüş bildirmesi durumunda, yazı üçüncü bir hakeme gönderilir; yazının yayımlanmasında üçüncü hakemin raporu belirleyici olur.

7-Yazılar yayınlansın veya yayımlanmasın iade edilmez. Yazarlar, hakemlerce düzeltme istenmesi durumunda gönderdikleri yazı ile ilgili hakemlerin eleştiri ve önerilerini dikkate almak zorundadır.

8-Düzeltilmiş metni belirtilen süre içinde dergiye ulaştırmak yazarın sorumluluğundadır. Düzeltilmiş metin, gerek görülmesi halinde değişiklikleri isteyen hakemlerce tekrar incelenebilir. Hakemlerin kimlikleri hakkında yazarlara, makalenin kime ait olduğu konusunda da hakemlere bilgi verilmez (Kör Hakemlik). Hakem raporları saklanmak üzere arşive konulur.

In the Journal EMI, a double-blind review system is applied. The referees are not informed about who the submitted article belongs to, and the author(s) are not informed about the identities of the referees who evaluated the article.

Referee reports are confidential and kept for five years. Articles that do not receive a positive report from the referees are not published and are not returned to their author(s); Administrative and judicial responsibility cannot be accepted in this regard.

The articles for which correction is requested by the referees are sent to the author(s) for necessary changes. The authors take into account the requests, suggestions and warnings of the referees and the editor; however, they can object to the issues they disagree with and the arbitrator's decisions, provided that they state their reasons. In this case, the opinion of another referee is sought. In cases where one of the referee's reports is positive and the other is negative, the article is sent to a third referee. It is the author's responsibility to deliver the corrected text to the journal within the specified time. Editor(s) have the authority to make minor non-essential corrections in the articles to be published in accordance with the indexing criteria. Referee opinions only express opinions to the editors in making the final decision. The final decision belongs to the editors.

The Evaluation Process of the Articles Submitted to the Journal is as follows:

1-Sent articles; It is evaluated by the editor and/or the members of the editorial board in terms of purpose, scope, method and writing principles. Two referees are determined by the journal editors to evaluate the article that has passed the pre-control stage.

2- Manuscripts that comply with the principles of publication and writing are sent to two referees, who are known for their works and studies in the field, without specifying the name of the author (blind refereeing) for scientific evaluation.

3- In general, the referee has a 15-day time frame whether or not to accept the refereeing role. The referee who accepts the role of referee is given 30 days to evaluate the article. In addition to this general situation, the evaluation process of the articles uploaded to the system is accelerated as much as possible.

4- If both referees give their opinion as "It is appropriate to be published", the article is published in the volume and number to be determined by the Editorial Board as soon as possible.

5- If both referees give an opinion as "Not Suitable for Publication", the article will not be published in the journal.

6- If one of the referees gives a positive opinion and the other a negative opinion about the publication of the manuscript, the manuscript is sent to a third referee; The report of the third referee is decisive in the publication of the manuscript.

7-The articles are not returned whether they are published or not. Authors are obliged to take into account the criticisms and suggestions of the referees about the article they sent, in case a correction is requested by the referees.

8- It is the author's responsibility to deliver the corrected text to the journal within the specified time. The corrected text can be re-examined by the referees who request changes, if necessary. The authors are not informed about the identities of the referees and the referees are not informed about who the article belongs to (Blind Refereeing). Referee reports are archived for safekeeping.
